Easterns, finally.

First, let me get Easterns out of the way: We won. Yay! Boy were we bad in the UNC-W game, and I made a D that left me hurting for the next week. Anway, we cleaned our shit up and had a pretty good weekend. I have been getting better about turning the disc over, I had four throwing errors combined in semi's and the final. Against GW, one occured when I was stranded with Brent improvising as the reset cutter at a high stall count, the other was when TallE and I had a miscommunication in where I wanted him to go to get the reset. Against Harvard one was a brain cramp, after I had carried the load working upwind on our first game point and since everything was working so well I guess I just imagined the poacher I saw obviously in the lane would let my throw go right by him- nope. The other was a routine swing with a little pressure coming from the mark and TallE's guy on his hip that I just got a little lazy with in the wind. I also dropped a pull, but my teammates played some sweet fucking D and we got the turn back on a coverage sack.

We insituted a 'get up 3 hours prior to gametime' rule at Easterns that I think is a great idea, although it made for a rough saturday when we had gotten in at 3am (thanks for driving Brent!). Sunday morning we had enough time to scrimmage almost an entire half (usually what we come out slow on O for) before starting against FSU, and were able to get all our turnover out of the way (and turn the disc over we did in the scrimmage). I'm looking forward to how this will work out for sectionals...also looking forward to knowing where we're going for breakfast: JoJos, Ritters, Eat N' Park, Pamela's, Sheetz?? So many options.

The Easterns Cup is getting engraved in Wilmington and then sent up to us. We all signed an Easterns disc for Mike G to send down to him. Matthew Bourland will one day hopefully replace the picture of crusty oldheads thats been on the CPU website for like 5+ months, and all will be good in the world.
